REPRESENTATIVE PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Live Tank Breaker Replacement (765kV)

Engineering and Design services to support the replacement of 765kV Live Tank Breakers with modern Dead Tank (Individual Pole) SF6 Breakers. This effort included developing General Arrangements Plans and Sections for the Breakers, Bills of Material (BOM), Grounding, and Protection Controls Packages inclusive of relaying singles, schematics, and wiring.

Breaker and Relay Replacement (115kV)

EG&R provided engineering and designer services to replace existing oil filled breakers (OCBs) with new SF6 Breakers to support a modernization and lifecycle extension program with a major utility. This effort also included a large relay replacement effort to replace existing line protection, breaker failure protection, and transformer protection for multiple bays.

Substation Conceptual Designs (New Stations)

The EG&R team was awarded a subcontract to prepare conceptual designs for the development of new Greenfield substations (both AIS and GIS) for a major utility in the northeast. This effort included development of preliminary station layouts including plot plans, bus arrangement plans, sections, and details. The work also included the development of a protection and control package inclusive of schematics, single lines, and tripping matrices for the new protection schemes.
