REPRESENTATIVE PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Electrical Feasibility Study for Black Start Capability
Engineering overview of facility’s distribution system to determine the capability of starting the plant from a black plant scenario. The study included the conceptual design of a 3 MVA Emergency Diesel Generator system to restart the power system.
Feasibility Study: Load Flow Analysis for Future Electrical Growth and Upgrades
EG&R provided engineering and consulting services to perform a comprehensive review of a customer’s existing facility generation and distribution system to support future load growth to support a new customer. These services involved complete field survey of the existing electrical distribution and power system modeling utilizing SKM. The modeled power system was developed with multiple operating scenarios and conditions to determine project feasibility.
Plant-Wide Relay Coordination Study
Comprehensive Relay Coordination Study to investigate all miscoordinations in the facility’s electrical protection system. This study included a detailed report and analysis to mitigate the impacts of electrical faults. Scope encompassed review of 138kV Switchyard, 4.16kV switchgear, and 480V power distribution system.
